Me: How big is your flat? (context: Y has just shifted to a new place.)
Y: It has only one room and a small living area. Quite small, no space for a second person.
On another day...
Me: You'll definitely spend more than a day there, else you will waste your air ticket...then might as well don't go there...
(context: Y mentioned spending only 1 day in Europe earlier on!- Y is flying from Asia)
Y: There is no time for shopping at all in Europe
Me: *puzzled* (Thinking whether Y means that he wants to shop in Europe? But he's staying only for a day?)...Moment of truth striked and I replied:
"Don't worry, I won't ask you to buy back anything for me."
--------------------------------------------
Argh! Why are people so quick to make assumptions? To clarify, Y is not strictly a horrible person but I don't understand how his brain works to make certain assumptions.
