Decided to blog since I haven't been doing so in a while. Am blogging random thoughts today.
Was quite happy to hear my students say that they missed the atmosphere in our lesson (taught them last year) =p Hmm...whatever the "atmosphere" means...
Well, it has been raining ceaselessly these days...and i love the pitter patter of the rain especially in the comfort of my home...makes me think of David Tao's song 寂寞的季节 in terms of its general feel.
Watched GetReal! just now. I think if i'm not teaching nor have financial commitment, I would work with a NGO or something like this. I cannot understand people's warped mentalities. When a man interviewed commented, "What's so pathetic about these women? (referring to the underaged prostitutes in Batam) We are all trying to have fun only." (apologies for any inaccurate translation but this is the best as I can remember). My anger just boils within me. And people who know me know that I'm not those kind who get easily angry. Yes, agreed, not all sex workers are "forced" into this trade but a great number of them have been tricked into prostitution or come from families living in great poverty. I find his ignorance or more likely, nonchalance revulsive. What's more, he revealed that his wife also goes with him to Batam and finds prostitutes for him. *faint*
OK, think I have ventilated. Feel much better. Hope I can do more...
Of course, I am not adopting a holier-than-thou attitude. I need to work on watching my tongue- I think sometimes I'm really too careless with my words. :(

A wife brings her husband to visit prostitutes? What was she thinking of?
I have a feeling that man was trying to justify his actions. It could be his defensive mechanism kicking in.
Anyway, I read from somewhere that prostitution is the oldest profession in the world. I'm not sure if I can believe it.
yeah, maybe he's just trying to defend himself.
