Attended a wedding yesterday. Bride was pretty, groom was brimming with joy and all seemed to be happy for the couple. I am, too, happy for them in their blissful state. Pastor was quite stern in the tone of his message though as he chose to preach on divorce and sounded warnings to the couple. I don't know, sometimes I find myself having different views on it. Perhaps it's just me and my questioning self. Although I think some might find Pastor's message inappropriate for such an occasion, to me, it's timely and important that he does so, especially in this world and age. I appreciate and admire Pastor for that.
Recently, I've also been thinking whether people choose to marry because they truly love their partners. For some, I think it's simply people taking the easy way out by marrying people who love them. Haha, I still remember my altar dream (a joke for those who had the background knowledge)! I hope that these couples will continue in their commitment to each other regardless of the basis on which they made their respective decisions. Then perhaps we'll have less sad stories around us.

Men marry because they are tired,
and women because of curiosity;
and both are disappointed.
