many thots day

As indicated by the title of this post, hmm...this is a day with relatively more thots than usual. Perhaps it's due to the various ''activities' i had.

1) Woke up ard 7am to do housework. A mad rush, did several things before i ran out of house to take a cab to school...Thank GOD an empty cab came in time :)

2) Had a course in school followed by lunch with some colleagues. Quite interesting to know about others :) Nice food too! :) KL trip was being mentioned. I was thus reminded of the upcoming getaway breather which makes me happy, though the trip has barely been confirmed. I just want to go away.

3) Met up with 2 frens :) So nice to see both of you! Watched 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' (a Korean film). Before the film review (hehe...re: lil piggie's request), let me just talk about something minor. I think they should change the title of the film. I don't know if that's becos the translation has been badly done...but yes, the title gives away too much of the film which coincidentally does not go well with the subtlety of the film in general.
My fren does not take well to this film. Well, for myself, although this would definitely not be in my 'favourite' list, I would grade it as slightly above average. Strengths: some subtlety in presentation of the plot, i have a sense that the cinematography is pretty good, although I didn't manage to figure out during the screening. Weaknesses: The acting was so-so and the symbolism may be quite cliched? (Or perhaps it could be forgiven (??) in the light of the biblical undertone of this movie- sins being washed away so that we can be whiter than snow.) It also does not qualify as an arthouse film, IMHO. Perhaps I like the idea that sometimes, we may be plagued by our guilty conscience cos' of the things that we have done, despite the fact that we have tried to make remedies for it and even asked God to forgive us. This is NOT to say that I agree with this idea. I still believe that once we have asked God to forgive us and we have tried to make restitution to the ones affected, we should leave it at His feet, otherwise we will never get on with our lives as He so desires.

4) Spent a long time thinking of what to get as individual presents for my GP reps... i can think of gifts for female students quite easily but guys are a bit tough...i can think of stuff to give them but they would blow my budget... Finally settled on something. Yeah! Oh and i also spent quite some time getting a fren's present and buying a book for myself. Enjoyed this time alone, wearing casually and walking past the crowds.

5) Talked with a student. I really like my students and I hope that whatever we do will help them.

Wow, it's really quite a long day and it's 1 am now! I should Zzz...
