Hi people! I'm back! Just reached Singapore about an hour or so ago...decided to "blog" down some of my thots and deeds before i forget things from my trip...
Overall, it's a very very short trip, only 4d3n :( for a first visit to Taipei. I stayed in the Ximenting area, which is to me, something like the Bugis equivalent in Singapore. Lots of Kawaii outfit, floral and frills stuff, ethnic skirts, colourful outfits worn by various people, pulled-up socks, students with their school bags (note: they are real "school bags" in the sense that each school has its own uniquely designed bag carried by its students. i thot that was so cool! and the bags are those trendy types!) The weather was v warm though and sun scorching. The effect was strongly felt cos' the buildings were pretty spaced out and so there was a great deal of walking around in the open.
Now, for what i did there...as i said, it's a very short trip. It was mainly shopping and eating (more of shopping tho'...oh dear, i spent quite a lot on this trip...i better eat bread for the next few days ;p) I think for a first trip, it was not bad. I would like to go there again but perhaps not in the near future. I wanted this to be a relaxing trip (in the v v early stage of thots abt going overseas in June) but no, it wasn't a relaxing trip. In fact, it was quite stressful due to the company but of cos' it doesn't mean that i didn't enjoy the company. And also partly cos' of the place and itinerary that we have planned. Though it wasn't that relaxing, it was at quite a comfortable pace. At least i had some time to sleep properly and take breaks in-btw.
Took JetstarAsia...haha...saw a shuaige air steward :) meinu-wise, erm...ok lah. The air steward was so funny. When we ordered assorted muffins, he was asking "So u want chocolate muffin or nut muffin---cashewnut muffin...ermmm...walnut muffin?" Cashewnut muffin? That's interesting! haha. The amazing thing is that after we ordered chocolate muffin, he told his fellow colleague that we ordered walnut muffin...i had to correct that. Sigh. must be lack of sleep of the cabin crew. In case Hazelnoot and summerworm are reading this, it's the first time i felt a little bored on the plane. First of all, i did not get a window seat! and secondly, i think i miss the inflight entertainment...haha. So, i think it's not that i'm getting tired of air travel, i think so? :) feel so sad on my flight back. sorry, i'm a bad gal. tho' there are ties here, hm...still the overall feeling is one of sadness. Reminds me of another friend who had the same sentiment too.
haha, sound so sad like this...at least i got a chance to see how Taipei is like (vaguely lah) and feel it for myself. The people there are really v vocal and their voices travel! (not meant to be critical but just describing it). OK, time to check my mails and rest b4 unpacking tom :)
