Watched 3 recent movies: Madagascar, A Lot Like Love and Premonition.
Madagascar: Think it's hilarious =p started laughing from the 1st moment...and sorry, hm...i felt like crying at the friendship part between Alex the lion and Marty the zebra (yah, these things move me *blush*). Felt that the penguins were v. cool too! Watch it if u want a good laugh!
A Lot Like Love: Like Madagascar, i went to watch it cos' the trailer looked promising. But unlike the former show, I was quite disappointed with this show. Namely with its presentation of the concepts. To me, it seemed quite lame and not tastefully done. But i like the idea that one doesn't need to have everything planned out AND executed in life- i mean, studies, career and $, love etc. Perhaps by the time we got it all settled, we would have missed the person we really love, the pursuit that inspires us etc. Good esp. for guys who think they need to have it all planned out- which is sometimes an excuse for their indecision. Of cos', this is not to take it to the extreme, but u know what i mean, balancing it..
Premonition: Watched it just a few hrs ago. Hmm...it was not bad as a psychological thriller. Just that i felt the ending (which is the more exciting part) was pretty short. But there were some parts that were quite funny too (prob. not intended, but nevertheless...) Haven't watched psycho. thrillers and horror movies for some time...this is still at an OK level for me...not v. frightening.
Although I have watched these movies, i still feel that i miss a good movie. Not that i don't like them, just that hmm...i miss something that's done well, that leaves an impact on me...the last that did so was Lost in Translation. Yah, i know that was old, (and i have watched a few movies in the meantime), it just shows how pathetic the movies are. Or rather what moves me. Was expecting 2046 to do that, but it didn't. So, the last was Lost in Translation. Give me one good one.
