Haven't got a chance to write here for some time. Wanted to write movie review of Downfall for some time. Yup, I watched Downfall (a fren's recommendation) - a movie about (as the title says) downfall of Hitler and Germany. Yes, notice that i use 'Hitler AND Germany'. This show is not only about Hitler losing his power and his defeat in the war but also how Germany as a people (either as military or civilians) face their defeat in the war. It was interesting how many Germans at that time respected Hitler so much as their 'Fuhrer' (father) that they obeyed whatever instructions he said, even if it seemed ridiculous to themselves. As I was watching the film, i thought to myself, "This is sheer madness!" But yet, one can't help being amazed at the allegiance being displayed. Just what kind of a person is Hitler? How would it be like to see him in real life?
Another interesting thing abt the movie is that while most war films tend to focus on what happened during the war years, this film skipped the main war years and featured the downfall instead.
Overall: a nice war film :)
And...i also watched Initial D today on lil piggie's invite ;) glad that i could make it. sort of a reward for myself for inviligilating 7 hrs today :( standing, staring and stuff. But anyway, back to Initial D. Hm, besides looking at the relatively good-looking guy Edison Chan (which i think is more boyish type of look), there's of cos' the humour and the fantastic racing in the film! (altho' it seemed fake to me, dunno why) But like to watch car races :) The romance-wise is unsatisfactory cos' it wasn't resolved in the way i would like to see it resolved. haha.
Overall: worth watching for entertainment and for love of car racing

oooh.. Edison Chen... *drool*.. hahaha.. yea, definitely a good laugh at the end of the day, esp on a Monday (for me), n the first day of work (for u).. hee.. glad to hv ur company.. ^^
